The First Church hungered for Christ and Christ alone in their lives. Possessions and popularity were not things they desired and so they were easily shared or given to those in need. In contrast the last church mentioned in God's word, the church in Laodicea, considered themselves rich and in need of nothing, and therefore were lukewarm in God's sight.
